After a break-up in a serious relationship, writer A. watches the documentary A Complete History of My Sexual Failures and Jarmusch’s Broken Flowers, where the main characters question their past relationships. He gets the idea to write a nonfiction book about his exes, but he wants to hear their side of the story in order to answer the eternal questions about relationships. At the same time, he’s trying to persuade some of the great pop stars to have him write their biographies.
